Museum Closed on November 2, 2020

2020 10 26

On November 2, 2020, the Church Heritage Museum, Crypts and Bell Tower of Vilnius Cathedral will be closed. On Saturday, October 31, we will close one hour earlier – at 5 pm.

For the feast of All Saints’ Day, an exhibition presenting restored paintings of different saints from various churches of the Archdiocese of Vilnius is opened and can be visited during November. One of the images bears an inscription of St. Judas Thaddaeus, even though the saint depicted is St. Thomas the Apostle with a carpenter’s square in his hand. This painting, which formerly belonged to the Jesuit Church of St. John in Vilnius, is an interesting testimony to renewed devotion.
