Virtual Lectures "Stories About Heritage and People"

During the evenings of February you are welcome to join the virtual lectures of the Church Heritage Museum! The lectures cycle called "Stories about heritage and people" presents opportunity to remember the history of Vilnius Cathedral and its builders, the heritage of city's monasteries. For the Restoration of the State Day we invite you to discover the role of Fribourg university (Switzerland) in the creation of modern Lithuania state.

11th January. Dr Sigita Maslauskaitė-Mažylienė, Alina Pavasarytė "Vilnius Cathedral: History, Architecture, pilgrimage" 

16th January. Kamilė Jagėlienė "Lithuanians at the University of Fribourg and Their Importance for Lithuania"

18th January. Violeta Indriūnienė "Vilnius – City of Heaven: Footsteps of Prosper and Rigour of Seventeen Monasteries"

23rd January. Birutė Valečkaitė "From Noah to Theophilus: Images of the Saints, Blessed and Heroes from the Bible in Vilnius Cathedral"

25th January. Dr Sigita Maslauskaitė-Mažylienė  "Vilnius Cathedral Treasury: from Frederick Jagiellon (1468–1503) to Audrys Juozas Bačkis"

The lectures will be held in Lithuanian.
