The publication explains and expands the exhibition in the crypts, introduces the funerary traditions, archaeological finds and research.
The crypts of Vilnius Cathedral, an ordinary invisible part of the building, were opened to visitors in 1991 after the archeological, geological, architectural and artistic research and foundation reinforcement, which lasted through almost the entire 20th century. In 2012 a new exhibition was installed in the restored crypts, vaults and corridors of Vilnius Cathedral. It presents the history of the temple located on one of the earliest inhabited sited in Vilnius, the development of the building and the persons of outstanding merit to the Church and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania who are buried there.
The guidebook is published in Lithuanian, English and Russian.
